The life of the Queen Elizabeth 2 as a transatlantic passenger vessel spanned 36 years with cruises to many different ports. The old girl just cannot take a pounding like she used to. Now relegated to cruising only since the introduction of the Queen Mary 2 the QE2 seems to have some more years left. We will most likely see this vessel with a major overhaul and refit in the near future.
