A three print set depicting starboard profiles of the Harland & Wolf built Olympic class vessels for the White Star Line. Built side by side the Olympic and Titanic became the two most famous vessels of the White Star fleet. The Olympic with a long dependable service record earning the nickname "Old Reliable" during the last years of her existence. Most all know now of the Titanic through the ficticious story of Jack and Rose and blossomed love as well as betrayal and revenge. Many real life incidents were not included into the film for time's sake. Lastly there was built a more safer vessel which was slightly larger, longer and supposedly more luxurious than the first two vessels. She was built with a double skinned construction below the waterline and more lifeboats than would be necessary for every soul aboard. Origional name given to her as a period poster has stated was "Gigantic". This name was dropped in favor of a more patriotic theme after the Titanic was lost on her ill-fated maiden voyage. The "RMS Britannic" was not to see a single paying passenger walk along her decks for she was ready to enter service at around the same time WWI started. She served briefly as a troop transport, then as a hospital ship for the British armed forces mainly in the Mediterranean theatre of operations. On her last voyage from England to Greece island of Lemnos she struck a mine and was lost within an hour's time. So much for all the special construction. The only clear explanation would have been too many open portholes in the bow of the vessel from a lack of ventilation from the Mediterranean heat.Edition is limited to 200 pieces.
